On Thursday, 7 August, the Year 12 Industrial Technology students handed over their Major Design Projects after 12 months of research and hard labour. These projects involved a lot more than hammering in a few nails. Not only did these students design their own pieces, the projects required them to source their own materials, obtain quotes from a range of companies for the materials, research the types of timbers that suited their jobs the best and construct a masterpiece all on their own!
From the choice of lacquer colour to the style of handle for the cupboard doors or drawers, the students paid attention to every detail in their projects. With the guidance and assistance from their teacher Ms. Geppert, the students have now handed over five amazing pieces of work to be marked by the Board of Studies on Tuesday, 19 August. All of us here at Terra Sancta would like to congratulate the class on their great work and wish them the best of luck for their HSC.
