Well done to our Year 10 and 11 Debating teams who recently competed in the CSDA semi-finals at St Patrick's Campbelltown! π€β¨ Both teams represented the College with incredible courage and skill against tough competition. Eight of our Year 10, 11 and 12 students recently attended the Australian Defence Force Women in Leadership Day in Parramatta. They had the incredible opportunity to hear from women who have built diverse, rewarding careers across defence. At the end of last term, our Year 10 students had the opportunity to take part in an incredibly inspiring Reflection Day with Chris Doyle! β‘οΈ The energy was unmatched as students experienced music, dance, group workshops and testimonies that challenged them to live their lives with a strong value system based around the teachings of Jesus. Cathwest recently welcomed our Year 10 students for an incredible 'Try a Career' Day! π οΈπΌπ©Ί Our students jumped right into the action and represented the college across a range of industries: Automotive: Learning basic car maintenance and racing the clock in tire-changing challenges! ποΈπ¨ Childcare: Stepping into the shoes of an educator with painting, reading, and playdough fun π¨π Nursing: Practicing life-saving basics, including CPR and wound care β€οΈπ©Ή A massive thank you to all the students who enthusiastically partook in the day and a special thanks to Ms Chandra & Ms Spence who assisted in making this day such a success for our students π #Careers #StJPII #TryACareer #HandsOnLearning

CSPD students recognised in Refugee Week Creative Competition
Over 125 students from 10 Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) schools have been recognised for their empathy and powerful storytelling as part of the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) Australia Refugee Week Creative Competition.

Our Earth and Environmental Science students recently stepped outside the classroom and into the field at Longneck Lagoon Environmental Education Centre in Scheyville National Park! πΏπ From surveying transects and observing soil erosion to comparing the unique characteristics of the Cumberland Plain Woodland ecosystem, our students put their practical fieldwork skills to the test. They collected soil and water samples for analysis, used GPS technology to map introduced species and examined human impacts on the environment, all while learning about the rich natural and historical significance of the area πΊοΈπ§ͺ It was a fantastic and valuable experience for our Environmental Science students!
