π¦Year 11 students headed to the International Regatta Centre yesterday to participate in the RYDA Road Safety workshop. ππ This program equips our students with the knowledge and skills required to view themselves as conscientious and engaged members of the community. Over a series of workshops, students interacted with a group of expert facilitators, including police officers, driving instructors, and various members of the community involved in road safety and awareness. RYDA Road Safety empowered students with the resources, routines, and skills to make responsible choices and ensure their safety as both drivers and passengers on the road throughout their lifetimes. Our Year 10 Science Elective students completed their Assessment Task 2 presentations at the end of Term 3! π¬ They researched and modelled biomechanical designs for real-world applications, demonstrating their ideas using Mr Skel. π Students showed great teamwork, creativity, and scientific thinking through their engaging and insightful presentations. π

Year 10s wrapped up Term 3 with their first ThinkQuest Projects with some incredible presentations! ππΈ π‘ Students showcased ideas like: ~ Carbon Neutral Catapult designs ~ A pollution-fighting CleanBot ~ Real-time RoadWatch technology π They also looked ahead to the future with 2040 World Health Solutions, sharing innovations such as Earf-Bot and AmbuCare, focused on mental health and elderly care. π§ Our Lego Engineering students wowed us too β building spaghetti bridges and recreating impressive structures including Notre Dame, the Mars Rover, NASAβs Shuttle Carrier, and a motorised lighthouse. π Well done to all groups for their creativity, teamwork, and big-picture thinking!
