Our school Open Night on Monday 11th March saw over 30 CAPA students share their talents with our community in order to showcase the fantastic Creative and Performing Arts opportunities we have at StJPII.
Students presented themselves professionally and their performances received numerous accolades on the night, a huge thank you to the Year 11 Entertainment class who ran the showcase so smoothly. So a huge congratulations to all students involved in performances and the running of the concert!
Our ‘Acts of Autumn’ lunchtime concert on Thursday 21st also showcased many more of our talented performers with the following students performing for our 7-10 students: Logan Chapman, Iris Sinsay, Felicity Scott, Jared Lesaca, Brigham Webster, Vincent Crisostomo, Kayla Makdessi, Brayden Cauchi, Denver Brown, Cooper Connolly, Sharon Kumar, Halle Steiger, Alice Durkin, Chloe Hodgson, Amelia Cousins and Ishita Sreepathi. Even though wet weather tried to stop the concert, it continued in the music room with students packing in to see our talented students. Very well done everyone, staff and students all enjoyed your performance immensely!
A special welcome to the many new students who have enrolled in our Instrument Program for 2019. Students are gaining much from weekly private tuition and it's great to see them develop their performance skills and confidence on their chosen instrument. Congratulations to our committed musicians who have been part of the program for several years.
Our after school Drama Club has also been a success this term with a large number of students getting involved. Our instructors are from Captivate who bring a world of experience to our students. The club with continue throughout 2019 so get in contact if your child would like to be involved.
Stay tuned for updates on our 2019 Spectacular over the next few months - it will be even bigger and better than last year!
