Co-operating Principal, Mr Phil Smith welcomes the assembled
The Year 10 students gathered together on Tuesday to celebrate Eucharist with Fr Regie and observe the solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord.
In welcoming the assembled, the Co-operating Principal, Mr Phil Smith spoke about the importance of Eucharist in our lives and the significance of celebrating it as a community. He thanked Fr. Regie and the growing parish link the college has with Mary Immaculate Church. Mr Smith also emphasised that the Year 10 Catholic Studies Unit on the topic of ‘Eucharist’ further enriched students life experience and spiritual formation.
In his Homily, Fr Regie spoke about the role of 'super heroes' in shaping young lives. He reminded the students that Hollywood characters were not the only super heroes, and that, Jesus Christ was one as well. He called on Year 10 students to embrace Jesus, the super hero, as their role model.
