ICT Update: Everything "Technology" at the College in Term 1

It has been a very busy time for ICT in Term 1, 2017! The following information is an outline of the work that has been completed over the last Term by the ICT Team.

1. Parent Purchase Program Laptops & iPads: During the first 4 weeks of this term, the ICT Team have enrolled, added/updated applications on every year 7 to 12 device. This is approximately 1000 devices. It also saw the continued success of the Parent Purchase Program with every student from years 7-11 now having a device.

2. Laptop Cages at Nirimba campus. Although the majority of students now have laptops on the Nirimba campus we still have 10 cages across the campus which staff can access for their students.

3. MyiPad & MyMac Days - The ICT Team with the help of staff, facilitated the two device days for students. Emails were sent to all staff outlining the successes of the days. The ICT Team would like to thank those staff who presented or assisted in preparation and/or supervision. On the day the students were taken through their responsibilities regarding their devices.

4. Online Testing PAT-R, QCS - During this term Year 7­-10 have undergone PAT-R and QCS testing which was completed during week 10. In addition, PAT -M testing will take place during Term 2. QCS was also completed by over 93% of students from Year 7 to 12.

There are approximately 1680 devices, 25 printers, 117 TVs and Apple TVs and 13 projectors in the school. When you think of the numbers above and the minimal ICT issues, I think you would join me and thanking the team for their work this term.
